first day of school 2010

I really think the 1st day of school was the hardest for me this year. The end of August I took Karla back to Utah for college. We had a great couple of days, with moving her in and then getting to spend time with my family. Carol was also in Logan helping Katie, get ready for school. Denise, Amber and my parents come also for the weekend we had one really big party! We laughed, cried, and laughed some more! Have fun in College Karla and don't forget you do have to study!

Amandee will be a Jr. this year. Boy how the time flies! She told me that it is hard moving in High School (I'm so glad my parents didn't make me move)what is wrong with your parents Amandee? Amandee is taking ASL (American Sign Language) this year and loving it. She also has early morning seminary, which really should not be a big deal for Amandee because she loves to get up early anyways, and she has the best teacher ever her Dad. Love ya and have a great year!

Nathan is a 7th grader this year. He did inform me the other day that he was not the shortest person in 7th grade. Nathan is taking 3 honor classes this year. Have a great year Nathan and enjoy!

Jaron is in 4th grade. He started off the school year with 38 kids in the both 4th grade class, but since then the school has hired another 4th grade teacher so now he only has 24 kids in his class.

La Push camping trip

I am not a big fan on camping, but sometimes I even surprise my family and agree to go with them. We had so much fun (we got great family pictures) and after that we had a fun camping. There is nothing better than watching the boys play on the beach and getting to enjoy a book. Sorry Kory for not getting any pictures of you. I need to be better about that.

I got to watch this great sunset all by myself...Kory and the kids took the same walk we had earlier that day to see the tidepools and they did not make it back to enjoy the sunset with me.

Had to stop at the local sites...so the girls could say they were there.

Early morning walk to visit the tide pools...they were great

Our visit to the rainforest

thanks family for an awesome trip! You guys are the best

Family Pictures

I'm very behind in my posting but that is the story of my life! In August we decided that we needed a new family picutres, since the one that is up now is only 7 years old. So of course we took a camping trip to get our family picture. Here are few of my favorites.

Summer

Our summer has been full of some great events here are just a couple of them...

We found ourselves packing boxes (yes again.) We packed up the ABF trailers and this time we only used 1 full 28' trailer and 13'of the second one. When we left San Diego 4 years ago, we filled both 28' trailers and still had to give a lot of stuff to DI because it won't fit. The best and only good thing about moving is ...you get rid of. Since I didn't unload all the boxes in Utah I decided I must not need the stuff and got rid of it. We sold some of the bigger stuff and the hardest thing to see go was the ping pong table, great memories of Kory and I playing ping pong winner got to watch the loser do the work around the house (dishes, make the bed, put kids to bed etc.)
With even thing out of the house we headed for Pocatello for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary Party. It was so much fun seeing people I had not seen for awhile and get to visit with Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Congrats Mom and Dad! Thank you both for being wonderful parents and Grandparents, you guys are the best!!!

That same weekend we had the Brown Family Reunion...I didn't get any pictures of us but we had fun. We went to Lava Hot Springs Monday and that night we had a wagon ride with dinner.
That next day we found ourselves back on the rode driving to our new house in Puyallup. And then the day after that we found ourselves unloading all the stuff in the trailers...

Thanks Kids for working so hard...Karla and Amandee you guys were great!
Our house is almost put together, just a few things need to find a place, My craft room is in need of help, and the loft which is being used as the library is almost put together. I was told I had way too many boxes of books I don't know why my girls think 15 boxes of books are to much.

Baseball Season

Jaron's baseball season has come to an end...so sad. This was Jaron first year playing kid pitch, he played mostly 2nd base and some short stop.
His team took 3rd place in the regular play and ended up taking third place in the tournament. Their 2nd to last game of the tournament (they were in the loser bracket) Jaron came up to me before the game and informed me that he was going to pitch in the 2nd inning....He had not pitched all season, but since there was a chance that they could play four more games within the next 2 days they needed more pitchers. So I called Kory to make sure he was going to be there for the 2nd inning (he was home getting Karla's graduation dinner started). Needless to say...I was a total wreck but he did great. The 2 innings he pitched he allowed 1 run, allowed 2hits and had 4 strike outs not bad. I am truly sorry to see the season end, and looking forward to next season.

Great season Jaron!!

This past weekend we went and visited our Parents in Pocatello.
When we first arrived to my parents house this conversation was between Jaron and Karla:

Jaron: Look Karla Grandma got a new fridge
Karla: Yes Jaron she did
Jaron: (opens the fridge)"but its the same old food"

Grandma: What kind of food do you want I'll go out and buy you whatever you want.
